Missouri State Fair Concert Artist Sings This Saturday for the Cause
(June 4, 2009, SEDALIA, MO)—— A Missouri State Fair Pepsi Grandstand country music artist, Candy Coburn, is using her talent for a good cause this Saturday in support of breast cancer awareness.
According to a recent news release from the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure®, Coburn will be performing her new single, “Pink Warrior” in the Opening Ceremonies of the event on June 6 in Washington, D.C.
The release stated that this year will mark the 20th annual race. More than 50,000 people are expected to participate in the run with proceeds projected to exceed $6.1 million for breast cancer education and outreach.
Coburn, a noted country music favorite in Missouri and in particular Sedalia, will make her Pepsi Grandstand Stage debut on Tuesday, August 18 at the Fair opening for the contemporary country music act Little Big Town. Tickets to the 7:30 p.m. concert starts at $15 keeping with the Fair’s focus on affordable fun.
