Candy Media Bio

"Candy Coburn is a real talent, a real entertainer…the real deal!"

- Dave Marsh , Springfield, IL WFMB

"I really dig her live performances. Tons of passion and energy. Very entertaining and talented!"

- Mike Kennedy, Kansas City, KBEQ

From the moment she hits the stage, you sense Candy Coburn is not your run-of-the-mill chick singer. Bringing her own high-energy style, great music and signature green guitars to the stage, Candy puts on a show that rocks!

Growing up in Western Kentucky, Southeast Missouri and part-time in Texas makes for quite an interesting melting pot of experiences and influences for a career in music. When asked who her biggest influences are she will tell you the list is too long to rattle off in less than an hour and that the list would include some of the unique characters in her family as well.

Candy will tell you herself, "I truly LOVE my job, but most of all I love getting to enjoy SHARING music with other fellow music lovers. We are all the same, just on different sides of the microphone. Live music is about people "living music" together. It's not about "me." I thank every listener for making my job possible."

SINGER/SONGWRITER

(For Media Use-Full Bio 2021)

Candy Coburn is an Austin, Texas singer-songwriter and touring artist. After years of full-time touring, charting singles, and averaging more than a hundred performances a year, the singing, writing Candy Coburn is no one trick pony.

Her seventh album, "Love Revival Live,” will be coming out December 2021. With her deep Southern rock and gospel roots, Candy has shared some of the biggest stages across the country with talents like the Marshall Tucker Band, Zac Brown Band, Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Luke Bryan and many others.

She’s written songs for national ad campaigns and corporations like Texas Roadhouse, Arby’s, and also had the honor to co-write the anthem, “Pink Warrior” for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She is proud to support this event as her grandmother, Marie D. Tucker, a breast cancer pink warrior herself, was the inspiration for this song.

Candy’s indie label, Loma Jean Records, was named after her other grandmother who, while Candy was growing up in Western Kentucky, taught her to sing gospel.

Candy’s national tours were supported by corporate sponsors Anheuser-Busch, Texas Roadhouse Restaurants and Susan G Komen for the Cure. She’s had the honor of performing on some of the most well known stages in the country at Nascar events, Churchill Downs, the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, Titan Stadium, and Fox & Friends Morning Show, only to name a few. Candy's live performances always serve up an infectious concoction of her signature style: Southern Rockin’ Gospel Soul, along with what she calls a “joy bomb of big love!” With Southern Kentucky roots, a Texas twang and a messy Americana story that resembles a real-life country song, Candy will light up your soul and warm your heart.

The best thing about booking Candy Coburn: whether you need a singer-songwriter, worship leader, speaker, emcee or teacher/coach for your event or a combination of them all, Candy can tailor her performance to help you host the most powerful, impactful event possible!

“Holy crap! Why is this girl not headlining shows everywhere? She is flat-out awesome!”

— Coyote Calhoun Louisville, KY- WAMZ

"Once in a great while, a song comes along that speaks to everyone. ‘Don’t Walk Away’ will take its place next to the timeless classics that people will be singing to themselves 20 years from now. Candy Coburn reached way down deep to write and perform this song, and it will touch your heart."

— Dan Caldwell-Lake Ozark, MO-KCLQ
