Who the Heck is Candy Coburn?
(This is when you say...“I’ve never heard of her”☺)
Hello! That would be me, y’all! I'm Candy Coburn and thanks so much for checking out my new and improved website! Here you’ll find way more info than you probably would ever need to know about this Kentucky/ Missouri/Texas gal!
I love my life. I love my family. I love Jesus. That’s who I am!
My path has been a wild one though. I grew up in Western Kentucky, living a life, resembling some of the country songs which I heard on my Grammy’s turntable and crooned along with. Imagine about thirty percent Kenny Rogers, Gatlin Bros, and George Jones and seventy percent gospel. It just goes to show though that things really do work together for good! My Southern rock roots were always planted down deep, just waiting to blossom around a solid gold foundation of sweet harmonies and rich lyrical story telling goodness.
A massive dreamer, a God believer, a lover of people, and a full-time cheerleader, I’m trying to leave this sweet world kinder and better than how I found it. Whether I’m playing a stadium, leading worship in a church or at a conference, speaking or teaching, my hope is that everyone around me will have experienced God’s love fully.
I love speaking, singing, and hugging God’s encouragement into people, rooting them on, understanding that everyone has a second act. Seeing what God is doing with me in this second act of life has ignited a fire in me, making me want to help others to discover what lights them up too! God keeps the adventures unfolding, and I can’t wait to see what He does next. My prayer is, no matter which hat I’m wearing on any given day, I will be a “Love Revival” starter.
Two things I know for sure: how little I actually know and how little I can control in life, but this joyride into my ‘grown-up’ years has finally blessed me with a little ‘learn-as-you- go’ wisdom.☺ When I am long gone, singin’ up in Gloryland someday, my hope is that my music, my words, my actions and my life will have shined a whole lotta ‘big love’ on this world!
My Family
My husband and I have been married 25 years and have three very unique, passionate kiddos and two very fun doggies. We are by no means shiny or anywhere near perfect, but we know we’re lucky to have each other. (I’m not sure anyone else would want this irreverent crew! Ha ha!)
As proud Austinites we truly appreciate all the warmth and sunshine around us. We love living near a beautiful lake, in a community blessed with unbelievably friendly fellow big dreamers, and being a part a community full of passionate, give-back organizations, making a difference!
We also love being a part of advocacy and awareness for foster care/domestic adoption and are so blessed to have our sweet gal, whom we adopted right here in central Texas!
THE BIO....(All the "Hats" I love to wearing in this sweet season!)
(Disclaimer....I have had bios written about me for years.
Honestly, I not only love to sport a cool hipster hat on my head--I also wear many different “hats” when it comes to life adventures as well-.... so here goes... :)
I’ve spent decades as a singer-songwriter and a touring artist, enjoying the chance to play all types of music all over the world. Currently I lead worship for churches and conferences too. I’ve written a short women’s devotional book, Seven Steps to Start Your Love Revival! No matter who’s in front of me or where I am — either at a church, community event or school— playing live music, leading worship, speaking and teaching always fill my cup in unique and very special ways.
I hope I can be a part of bringing some of that to your event someday!
Until then, you can probably find me playing an event out on the road, leading worship weekly in Austin, teaching/speaking encouragement in front of women of all ages, and always trying to “make things better than I found them.”
Today and every day’s goal: to shine "Big Love" and hope in every lane I travel and to always bring some joy and fun to everyone I encounter!
Blessings and thanks for being a part of my adventures!-Candy
Singer/Songwriter
After years of full-time national touring, charting singles, and averaging over 100 performances per year- I am now enjoying being a creative dreamer in Austin and have the best of both worlds! I can jump on a flight to do awesome events outside Texas while also getting the amazing opportunity of investing in my local community and be a part of exciting projects with my family of musical friends here!
What's NEW!!- Just recently-I have released a brand new live acoustic in studio single called, "Unhurried Time."
My most recent (and seventh) album, "Love Revival Live,” came out and hopefully reflects the powerful influences both Southern rock and gospel music have had on my "sound."
Decades of touring gave me the honor of sharing some gigantic stages with wildly talented artists like the Marshall Tucker Band, Zac Brown Band, Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Luke Bryan and many more.
So far I’ve written and recorded seven studio albums and penned songs for corporations like Texas Roadhouse and Arby’s as well as ones used in other national ad campaigns. It was a tremendous honor to be able to co-write “Pink Warrior,” an anthem for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, created in honor of all the breast cancer pink warriors out there, including my own late grandmother, Marie D. Tucker.
My deep love of people is always a part of why I write, so of course I’m thrilled, whenever I get to see that one of my songs is touching people’s hearts, encouraging them and lifting their spirits (click here for full music bio).
Worship Leader/Speaker/Teacher
Having been a worship leader and guest artist for more than a decade, I’ve gotten to lead worship at more than a hundred churches across central Texas and beyond.
It’s always a privilege to be able to get involved with planning committees, to create content, to lead worship musical teams and to speak at these events all across the country. It’s also a huge honor for me to get to serve as a worship leader on staff as well as to head up numerous other worship and women's ministry events. I can't wait to see what comes in next on this exciting adventure God keeps unfolding. (For more info click here )

Big Love UBU Nonprofit Founder
In 2017 I started wondering how I could promote God’s love, unity and generosity while also better serving our underserved areas. With the support and encouragement of some of Austin’s finest fellow dreamers and believers, within a few months I founded the nonprofit known today as “Big Love UBU.”
It gives me the chance to work with an incredible team of volunteers, amazing, diverse artists, and other nonprofits of purpose. Be a part of this sweet dream team making a difference through the Arts!
Together we create unique live, multi-art events to promote God’s love, unity and generosity by helping to raise funds/resources for other non profits.
